Asquith Gibbes, MBE, the founding chair of the LCPCG, died on 16 July 2013 after a long illness. Two organisations, Reach-Dem UK and Family Services UK, have applied for LCPCG membership.  The Strategy Group is recommending these applications should be approved and representatives have been asked to attend.  Some other changes to the LCPCG Membership are explained in the short report, and an updated Membership List is also  ...  view the full agenda text for item 6.

Both Membership applications, from Reach Dem and Family Services UK were approved unanimously.

The Chair also noted the report explaining how LCPCG will deal with communication problems with members, and explained that it is important members keep LCPCG informed of any changes to contact information.

Gary Connors will also speak to the meeting with the regular update on the wider work of Lewisham Council’s Crime Reduction Services.  Questions from the audience will be taken after this item for both the Council and Police updates.

No other business was raised and the Chair thanked everyone who had remained to the end of the meeting, noted the date of the next meeting and that there would hopefully be more “interesting refreshments” as it would be near Christmas time, and closed the meeting at 9.45pm.
