Insp Rotherham is from the central MPS team coordinating STOPIT, and will present STOPIT and give a London-wide perspective.

Gordon was the chair of Lewisham’s Stop and Search Scrutiny group for a decade and is still a key member of the group.  This presentation was recently made to the Borough Commanders of all 32 Metropolitan Boroughs who met to discuss Stop and Search and community engagement.

This short film was produced by students at Lewisham College to help young people understand their rights in relation to Stop and Search.  It was the winning entry in our recent short film competition.

C I Willshire works in the Partnership unit for Lewisham Police.  His presentation will describe Lewisham perspectives on Stop & Search and how local police are implementing the STOPIT process.

Aaron and two friends have developed an innovative mobile phone ‘app’ which gives people information on their rights around Stop and Search, and also allows them to upload and share their experiences while they are happening.  The app is currently available on Android and Blackberry phones - their website is  ...  view the full agenda text for item 9.

Emmanuel is the new chair of Lewisham’s Stop and Search Scrutiny Group.  He will introduce himself and his vice-chair, Sadiki Harris, and explain what the group is planning for the future.
