Future Home Care Arrangements

Decision:

Having considered a confidential officer report, and a presentation by the

Deputy Mayor, Councillor Best, the Mayor and Cabinet agreed that:

 

(1) the procurement of Neighbourhood Lead Providers (Home Care) be

approved subject to a further report being brought back to Mayor and Cabinet

in July 2020 which will detail the new model for Home Care and set out the full

procurement process for approval.

 

(2) the start of public and market engagement on the development of a new

model of Home Care in Lewisham be approved; and

 

(3) the increase in forecast spend on home care for the period 2021 – 2026

and the impact this will have on the Council’s budget strategy be noted.

Deputy Mayor, Councillor Best, the Mayor and Cabinet, for the reasons set out in the report by a vote of 10-0:

 

RESOLVED that:

 

(1) the procurement of Neighbourhood Lead Providers (Home Care) be

approved subject to a further report being brought back to Mayor and Cabinet

in July 2020 which will detail the new model for Home Care and set out the full

procurement process for approval.

 

(2) the start of public and market engagement on the development of a new
