Decision status: For Determination
Is Key decision?: Yes
Is subject to call in?: No
In answer to a question from Councillor Onikosi, the Head of Law confirmed
that while the value of the works was above the financial threshold for
classification as a key decision, this would take effect at the award stage
when the delegated decision would be subject to the Scrutiny process.
Having considered a confidential officer report and a presentation by the
Cabinet Member for Children & Young People, Councillor Paul Maslin, the
Mayor and Cabinet (Contracts) for the reasons set out in the report:
RESOLVED that:
(i) authority be delegated to the Executive Director for Resources and
Regeneration on the advice of the Head of Law to approve the award
contracts for works at Horniman Primary School in a stipulated range of
values for internal re-modelling which will allow the school to admit an
additional 30 children to the 2015 Reception year group; and
(ii) should contracts exceed the stated limits, a report will be brought to Mayor
& Cabinet (Contracts) for further consideration and approval.
