for many years this school has been out standing but just misconduct of some few in the last few years should`t be the reason to end a long standing school let parent vote have their say

On 14 July 2021 Mayor and Cabinet agreed to the proposal from the Governing Body of St Mary Magdalen Catholic Primary School to close the school with an implementation date of 31 December 2021.
In making that decision, Mayor and Cabinet considered the responses received during the Governing Body’s initial consultation, the responses received during the period of representation and also the petition that had been lodged on the council website.
Additionally Mayor and Cabinet agreed that council officers work with the affected pupils and parents along with the School, Governing Body and Archdiocese to ensure that all displaced pupils are found suitable school places elsewhere. As of September 2021 there are no pupils on roll at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Primary School, as all pupils have now found alternative schools.
