Welcome from the Chair

What’s happening at this meeting? We will be having presentations and ‘Community Conversation Time’ for you to chat with our speakers and local groups and ask your questions.

We are a family friendly assembly and will have simple crafts happening during the meeting if you want to bring your children crafts will be delivered by 6 Arts London (DBS checked) Spaces for the number of children will be limited to a first come first served basis.

We are also delighted to support local businesses at the assembly. At this meeting Good Food Catford will be supplying us with delicious cakes and pastries for your refreshment

the first part of the meeting will be presentation led, the second part will be community conversation

2.

HMOs - Homes under Multiple Occupancy

There has been concern in the local community around an increase in HMOs in the Catford South Area.

We have invited Head of Planning, Emma Talbot and Housing Licencing Manager, Maureen Peart from Lewisham Council to speak to you about HMOs, explain the role of the Council and some work being undertaken to look at HMOs in the borough.
They will also be available to take questions

Improvements to Sangley Road / Sandhurst Shopping Parade

FM Conway will present their design for the improvements
- giving an example of the products and materials to be used and some images of the design.
We will hear about the workforce on site, hours of working and approximate
dates for each phase of the works.
Find out more about provision for access, pedestrians, loading and expected road closures during the works, plus the relocation of bus routes
and bus stops.
Helen Mcconnell, Public Liaison Officer for Conways, will take your questions.

We care about your air - Clean Air Action and anti-idling campaigns

Clean air should be a right for everyone who lives in a city.
Hear from the Catford Clean Air Group and Friends of Holbeach School on action they are taking locally to improve air quality and help combat ‘idling’.
Community members have come together to help make change – Find out how you can support them and help make your area an even nicer place to live.

Update on happenings at the Broadway Theatre Catford

What’s happening with your local cultural centre?
Head of Culture and Community Development at Lewisham Council will give a brief update on the current situation with the theatre and will have a stall at the
networking session, where you can ask your questions.
You can also join the FREE family day at the theatre on
12 May 2018. More information on:

You can come along and talk to members of Team Catford at the networking session about what’s happening right now, what’s coming soon and
your hopes for Catford.

Community Conversation - networking session

At this meeting we are tuning over the final part of the meeting to you! You are able to visit with councillors, some of the speakers from the event and a number of local groups, to chat with them, ask more questions and maybe even sign up. Those groups attending and having a stall at the conversation event are:
