Welcome and Introductions

Minutes:

Cllr Alicia Kennedy (Chair) welcomed everyone to the meeting, and introduced Cllr John Coughlin. Apologies were given by Cllr Adefiranye

David Austin, Head of Audit and Risk, gave the presentation (attached), followed by a Question and Answer session

Police/Safer Neighbourhood Team

Minutes:

PC Lana Gillard gave an overview of what the SNT are, how they engage, and re-highlighted the fact that the main issues in Brockley are Burglary and Vehicle Crime, however over the last 3 months these have seen a 40% and 30% reduction respectively. The floor was then opened to questions.

- Tyrhitt Road CCTV Cameras – Cllr Kennedy and PC Gillard to look into

- Deptford Cinema Licence query – Cllr Kennedy to investigate, Police would just comment on potential ASB

- Flytipping St Donnets Road – Advised to feed into Love Lewisham, could also be something to look into with Asssembly Funds?

- Antisocial drinkers at Brockley Station – please advise PC Gillard when you see them. Posters to be put up at station with Police details on and business cards available tonight.

 

Ward Panel meeting every 3 months. Next meeting is on 20 November from 7.30pm at Lewisham College

Brockley Survey – Have Your Say

For those that have filled in the Brockley Survey, thank you very much. For those that haven’t please either fill in a copy tonight or do it online by the weekend.

Survey responses will be used to develop the Brockley Action Plan, which will then be refined by the co-ordinating group. Anyone that wants to join the coordinating group please let Cllr Kennedy or Cllr Coughlin know.

The Action Plan will then be brought to the Assembly in December for sign-off.

 

Assembly Fund options

Assembly fund is £15k for 2014-15.

Two Options were presented (slide attached) with Option 1 being voted for in a majority decision.

Community Updates

Minutes:

- Deptford Cinema, Anyone interested, there are weekly meetings on Sundays from 4pm at the venue, 39 Deptford Broadway. Hoping to open in late November.

 

- Tyrhitt Road Hanging Baskets – thank you for the assembly funds. Though note some have disappeared as a result of the lamppost replacement.

 

- Lewisham Arthouse – workshop in December/January, the silhouette project, with a particular interest in elderly people. Information available on the website.
