Laurence House Works Contract Award
Decision: Having considered an officer report, and a presentation by the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Alan Smith, Mayor and Cabinet (Contracts) agreed that:
(1) the background to the proposed works in Laurence House be noted;
(2) the process undertaken to procure the required works be noted;
(3) the Laurence House works contract be awarded to Maris Interiors LLP, being the most economically advantageous tenderer to a value not exceeding a stated figure;
(4) the cost of the works be met from the Smarter Working Programme Capital Programme budget; and
(5) authority be delegated to the Executive Director for Resources and Regeneration, working with the Head of Law, to agree the terms of the contract within the above budget envelope. Contract Award for Building restoration Works in Beckenham Place Park
Decision: Having considered a confidential officer report, Mayor and Cabinet (Contracts) agreed that the contract be awarded to a stated value for the restoration of key buildings within Beckenham Place Park to Ash Ltd. Ash Ltd will restore the stable block, the homestead cottages, the gardener’s cottage, Southend Lodge and the gatehouse within this one contract and works are programmed to take 12 months from starting on site, in April 2018 and be funded through the Parks for People (HLF) programme. Minutes: Having considered a confidential officer report, Mayor and Cabinet (Contracts), for the reasons set out in the report:
RESOLVED that the contract be awarded to a stated value for the restoration of key buildings within Beckenham Place Park to Ash Ltd. Ash Ltd will restore the stable block, the homestead cottages, the gardener’s cottage, Southend Lodge and the gatehouse within this one contract and works are programmed to take 12 months from starting on site, in April 2018 and be funded through the Parks for People (HLF) programme.
