RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on June 7 2017 be

confirmed and signed as a correct record.

RESOLVED that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972,

the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of

business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt

information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act,

as amended by the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to

Information) (Amendments) (England) Regulations 2006 and the public

interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in

disclosing the information:-

4.         ICT Network Procurement.

Having considered a confidential officer report, Mayor and Cabinet (Contracts)

agreed that:

(1) The London Borough of Brent enter into the following contracts on behalf

of Lewisham:

Lot 1: Protective Monitoring to Logicalis Ltd for a period of 5 years at a total

stated cost to Lewisham;

Lot 2: Network Performance and Diagnostics to Daisy Communications Ltd for

a period of 5years at a stated total cost to Lewisham;

Lot 3: Data Centre Switching, Firewall and other Network Services to Daisy

Communications Ltd for a period of 5 years at a stated total cost to Lewisham;

and

Lot 4: Office LANs and Network Security Devices to Daisy Communications

Ltd for a period of 5 years at a stated total cost to Lewisham.

Councillor Chris Best asked if the proposals offered a robust solution for home

devices. She was informed these proposals affecting network hardware and

software infrastructure would not address home device performance but that

separate work was being undertaken to address the perceived problems.
