Minutes of the Local meeting held on 15 July 2013 were tabled to Members before the meeting.

 

The Planning Officer outlined details of the proposal for the construction of a three-storey building incorporating terraces/ balconies.

 

He also confirmed to Members that in light of objections raised during the officer’s site inspection the second floor layout was amended to show two bedrooms to the rear of the building. 

 

Councillor Gibson arrived during the presentation of this item and did not take part in the decision making process.

 

The Committee received verbal representation from the applicant’s agent Mr M Mehta and from the occupier of 21 Coniston Road and on behalf of other objectors to the development.. 

 

Councillor John Paschoud moved a motion to accept the officer’s recommendation which was seconded by Councillor Jeffrey.

 

Members voted as follows

 

FOR:                   Councillors Jeffrey and John Paschoud.

 

AGAINST:          Councillor Bell (Chair)

 

RESOLVED:     that planning permission be granted in respect of Application DC/12/81740, subject to Conditions as set out in the report.

The planning officer outlined details of this proposal for the construction of a double garage to the rear.

 

The Committee received verbal representations from the occupier of 6-7 Queensthorpe Mews, who raised concerns regarding the height of the garage.

 

Councillor Bell (Chair) moved a motion to accept the officer’s recommendation, which was seconded by Councillor John Paschoud.

Councillor Jeffrey moved a motion to accept the officer’s recommendation, which was seconded by Councillor John Paschoud.

The planning officer outlined details for a minor material amendment to allow the installation of balconies on the northern and eastern elevations, in connection with the planning permission dated 18 January 2008 (DC/07/65998)

The Committee received verbal representations from the resident of Flat 1, 59 Brockley Road, who raised concerns regarding overlooking from the balconies.

Councillor Gibson moved a motion to accept the officer’s recommendations, which was seconded by Councillor Jeffrey.
