RESOLVED that Councillor Schmidt be apppointed Chair for the meeting.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meetings of the Appointments Committee held on 19 and 29 January 2024 be confirmed and signed.

None.

RESOLVED that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act, and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

5. Appointment of Executive Director of Finance, Digital and Corporate Resources

RESOLVED that

(i)              David Austin be appointed the Executive Director Finance, Digital and Corporate Resources, and

(ii)             (ii) In the event that David Austin withdraws from the process or the appointment is not concluded, delegated authority be given to the Director of People and Organisational Development, to offer the role to the Committee’s reserve candidates in order of preference.
