RESOLVED that Councillor Samantha Latouche be elected as Chair for the

purposes of this meeting only.

No formal declarations of interests were made. However, Councillor Penfold

stated that while he did not know the candidate, the name was vaguely

familiar to him as he may have worked with them some years before.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on June 25 2021 be

confirmed and signed as a correct record.

RESOLVED that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972,

the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of

business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt

information as defined in paragraphs 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act,

and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public

interest in disclosing the information.

5. Appointment of Director of Resident and Business Services.

RESOLVED that Maxine Gordon be recommended for appointment as

Director of Resident and Business Services.
