The Speaker welcomed the former councillors and their guests to the EGM.

The Mayor addressed the Council and gave a brief summary of the contributions that each of the four nominees had made to public life. She explained that this was the first time that the Council was being asked to award former members with honorary titles since the Council had adopted its Aldermanic Protocol on 2 March 2022.

It was MOVED by Cllr Moore, SECONDED by Cllr Stamirowski and RESOLVED to award the following former members Honorary titles as follows:

·         Alderman Jim Mallory

·         Alderman Obajimi Adefiranye

·         Alderwoman Mee Ling Ng

·         Alderman Stella Jeffrey

The Mayor invited the Aldermen and Alderwoman, along with their friends and family, to retire to the Parlour for refreshments, where Members of the Council would join them following the ordinary Council meeting.
