The Mayor drew attention to the death of Sabina Nessa a Teacher at nearby
Rushey Green Primary School. He had attended a private service at the

and he promoted the Strategy as an important preventative measure.
The Deputy Mayor said the timeliness of the strategy was apt and that the
killing of Sabina Nessa was the latest in a series of recent high profilr attacks

holistic and multi agency approach building on the strong existing
partnerships in Lewisham.
The Strategy was further supported by Councillors Barnham, Bonavia and
Best and agreed unanimously by all present.
