RESOLVED that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972,

the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of

business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt

information as defined in paragraphs 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act,

and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public

interest in disclosing the information.

3. Appointment of a Chief Executive.

Having interviewed four candidates the Panel decided that the

recommendation shown below should be forwarded to the Council for

consideration.

RESOLVED that the Council be asked to consider the Panel’s proposed

appointment of Ian Thomas as Chief Executive.
