The Strategy Group are recommending that the LCPCG should agree six Membership applications and the LCPCG are also asked to note the report on other changes to LCPCG’s Membership.

Ch. Insp. Stuart Bell has submitted a report on the status of Neighbourhood Watch in Lewisham, and will be questioned by Members of the Shadow Board.

Ch. Insp. Stuart Bell submitted a short report and was questioned by Members of the Shadow Board.  Subjects covered included

·         Possible Volunteer turnover after 8/9 years

·         Support provided by Police officer and PCSOs

·         High levels of NW in areas were SNT historically took strong interest

The London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) have submitted a report on the work of the Independent Custody Visitors Panel in Lewisham.  We hope that there will be someone available to answer questions from Members of the Shadow Board.

The LCPCG Chair will give the meeting an update on the MOPAC Safer Neighbourhood Board Fund.  There will be a joint pot of £1million available for all boroughs to bid for.

The Borough Commander, Russell Nyman, will give an update on significant policing changes or initiatives in the borough – including TASER and any firearms usage since the last LCPCG meeting.
