Review of the Armed Forces Covenant for Lewisham PDF 35 KB Additional documents: Decision: Having considered an officer report and a presentation by the Cabinet Member for Resources, Councillor Kevin Bonavia, the Mayor agreed that:
(1) the review of the implementation of the Armed Forces Covenant for Lewisham be noted;
(2) the ongoing work being done to live up to the commitments made in the Armed Forces Covenant for Lewisham be noted;
(3) the appointment of Cllr Kevin Bonavia as Armed Forces Cabinet Champion be noted; Minutes: In accepting the role of Armed Forces Cabinet champion, Councillor Kevin Bonavia paid tribute to the efforts of Councillors Egan, Morrison and Walsh in promoting armed forces issues and relations.

Decision: Having considered an officer report and a presentation by the Cabinet Member for Policy and Performance, Councillor Joe Dromey, the Mayor agreed that the initial response be noted and a further update be brought to Mayor and Cabinet in October. Minutes: The Mayor observed that the presenting officer, Sam Elliot was leaving the authority to take up employment at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. He thanked him for his five years of service and wished him well in his challenging new role.
