1.         Proposal of Mayoral Nominees

The Mayor made a single speech in respect of the following nominees

to his Cabinet:

2.         Confirmation of Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Growth & Regeneration.

Following an address by Councillor Smith and questions by Councillors

Ingleby, John Paschoud, and Hall, it was agreed by 18 votes to nil to

confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Alan Smith as Deputy Mayor and Cabinet 

Member for Growth and Regeneration.

3.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Children & Young People

Following an address by Councillor Maslin and questions by

Councillors Jacq Paschoud, Hall, Johnston-Franklin and Coughlin, it

was agreed by 22 votes to nil to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Paul Maslin as Cabinet Member for Children

& Young People.

4.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Community Safety

            Following an address by Councillor Daby, it was agreed by 23 votes to

nil to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Janet Daby as Cabinet Member for

Community Safety.

5.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Health, Well-Being and Older People

Following an address by Councillor Best, it was agreed by 23 votes to

nil to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Chris Best as Cabinet Member for Health,

Well-Being and Older People.

6.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Housing

Following an address by Councillor Egan and questions by Councillors

Coughlin, Johnston-Franklin and Slater, it was agreed by 24 votes to

nil to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Damien Egan as Cabinet Member for Housing.

7.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Policy & Performance

            Following an address by Councillor Dromey, it was agreed by 25 votes

to nil to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Joe Dromey as Cabinet Member for Policy

and Performance.

8.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Public Realm

Following an address by Councillor Onikosi and questions by

Councillors Jacq Paschoud, Roy Kennedy, Ingleby, and Bernhards, it

was agreed by 25 votes to nil to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED that the Mayor be informed the Council supports the

nomination of Councillor Rachel Onikosi as Cabinet Member for Public

Realm.

9.         Confirmation of Cabinet Member for Resources

Following an address by Councillor Bonavia and questions by

Councillors John Paschoud and Hall, it was agreed by 26 votes to nil to

confirm the appointment.
